Manpower, Global Leader in Workforce Solutions for over 70 years is seeking an Experienced Quality Control Laboratory Technician in Daytona Beach!
The QC Laboratory Technician- Level 1 is responsible for:
Performing physical, chemical and analytical testing on in-process, Finished Product and Raw Material samples in a cGMP environment in compliance with applicable procedures, methods and policies.
Performs calibration, qualification and minor maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
Properly documents all testing, calibration and instrument maintenance in the appropriate logbooks using cGMP procedures.
Weekend work and/or overtime hours may be needed to accomplish the assigned work.
This is a fast-paced environment where it will be necessary to keep focus on high sample throughput, safety and quality while managing the day to day challenges of changing priorities.
Must be organized, practical, energetic, personable, team oriented and have a hands-on orientation with respect to QC Analytical Operations.
A thorough knowledge of and adherence to cGMP work practices is required at all times.
Essential Job Functions
• Performs raw material, in-process and release testing using a variety of analytical techniques (UV-Vis, IR, HPLC, GC, AA, ICP, titrations, viscosity, etc.).
• Follows cGMP, USP and 21CFR 210/211 requirements for laboratory testing and OOS investigations.
Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills
• High School Diploma with 2 years experience supporting a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• AA degree in Science with 1 year experience supporting a cGMP manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of cGMPs as applicable to laboratory environment.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
B.S or B.A degree in Chemistry or related science field and a minimum of 1 year hands on experience in a laboratory setting.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and complete assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.
Ability to work productively in isolated conditions with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of computer systems.
Ability to lead and communicate effectively. Good oral communication and word processing skills.
Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
Apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Proficient at writing technical/instructional documents. Ability to write clearly, logically, and concisely.
Good knowledge of analytical testing equipment such as HPLC, GC, UV/Vis Spectrophotometer, KF, AA, ICP.
Well-organized and able to work effectively in a multi-functional team-based environment.
Experience in GMP/GLP environment.
High energy, motivation, and multi-tasking skills.
